NFL linebacker Shaquil Barett has been going through the most devastating time of his life. The six-person family, affectionately known as the Barett 6, lost one of its beloved members three months ago. Shaquil’s 2-year-old daughter, Arrayah, breathed her last on April 30 due to a sudden drowning in the family pool. The family has received much support from families and NFL stars, including Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

Barrett is currently busy with his pre-offseason training, but this year would be tough for him as he is still recovering from the loss. Months after her demise, Shaquille finally opened up about the hardships he has been facing since Arrayah left this world, thereby paying a moving tribute to his late daughter.

Shaquile’s heartfelt words for his daughter

Arrayah was the youngest daughter in the family. Tampa Bay announced the sudden demise of Shaquil’s daughter in their socials on April 30. According to sources, Arraya was brought to the hospital, but it was too late. This has devastated the linebacker’s life, and he is still attempting to distract himself by spending enough time in training.

Shaquil has been busy with his camp practice these days. Amidst the practice, he sat down for an interview, where he shared the harsh time he has been going through along with certain instances of his memories.

“Is this a daily battle? The day I felt it heavier today than I did the last couple of days is, uh, just coming in ways we just talk through with each other and just lean on each other to get ourselves through and lean on the Lord as well, but it doesn’t get any easier; it’s just me being busy, but yeah, it’s just tough.”

He even mentioned missing her beautiful smile. Last year, Shaquille Barett had a horrendous injury for which he only played, but he looked back at it as a bittersweet incident as it allowed him to spend more time with his daughter.

A new member is coming into the Barett family

After Arrayah’s death, the duo is expecting a new member. In July, Joradanna took to her Instagram account to make this grand announcement after a difficult phase in their lives. In her opinion, Arrayah played a significant role in determining the sister she would be raising. They named this baby girl Allnah Barett.

Even Shaquil showed his excitement toward this new baby girl in his interviews. It had been a challenging time for the family, which has been evident in their post. However, with this new member in the house, it will help ease their pain.
