Antonio Brown is almost always in the news. Whether it is his bizarre in-game exit from the Bucs or his off-field antics with big stars like Kanye West and Floyd Mayweather. AB knows how to live life at the grand level. But all of that comes with the knowledge of burden of his beginnings. After moving on from the Bucs, Brown delved into his creative sides that recently culminated with the release of his music album. It has features from top notch artists and a song called Pit in the Palace, which dives into AB’s beginnings, his struggles and his goals in life.

Immediately after his exit, he released a single called, “Pit not the Palace.” It is an autobiographical account of his struggles. AB goes,

“Came from thе struggle, I had to hustle,

Get it off thе muscle, this is no tussle”

Antonio Brown is from a tough background. His father was one of the great players in Arena League Football, but absent for most of his childhood. And academically, Antonio Brown struggled to keep up with the grades required from College Football Scholarships.

But through hard work and dedication and a disciplined training routine, Brown made to the NFL. Needless to say he is a gifted athletic genius, but that is true for a lot of players of his caliber who make it to the big stage.

Antonio Brown turned a new leaf

The song further talks about his future, and his children. AB clearly had a tough stint in the middle, where his off field actions landed him in all kinds of troubles. Although after signing with the Bucs, spending time with Tom Brady and leaving the organization on his terms, has changed AB for the better.

Firstly, the reasons to leave Bucs were much different from the past. This time around it was a question of health and attrition and not a seemingly ego issue or talent issue within the team. And secondly, the aftermath of the exit has seen AB either enjoying himself or indulging in some or the other creative process.

In the last part of the song, AB says:

“And God just gave you another son, man

You’ve been at the game for over a year
You put up big numbers

But you know the greatest number
Is lovin’ your four young boys

They look up to you more than anybody else
Keep balling, keep working, but keep being loved”

The media has been harsh for a lot of things that AB has indulged in. And sometimes justifiably so, some acts were very unfortunate. Yet, being creative and productive cannot be taken lightly. It takes a humongous amount of effort and discipline to have an idea, then put it on paper and finally show it to the world. AB deserves commendation for his efforts to make his life better while entertaining others.
