Many people widely criticized Colin Kaepernick when he initiated the protests during his time in the league. Even though his intentions were right, many believed his actions were not appropriate. Since then, he has been out of the league.

Colin Kaepernick signed a settlement with the league and he received an estimated amount of $80 million. Many people lost faith in him due to this, as they believed Kap took the money. However, that wasn’t the case, as Kaepernick has continued to help the people in need and has used his brand to highlight problems in the country.

One of the people who wasn’t happy with Colin Kaepernick was former Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard Jr. In his tweet, he highlighted the factor that Colin Kaepernick was being blackballed by the league, but Pollard Jr. believes Kaepernick brought it upon himself.
Why be mad at Jay-Z? He’s partnering with the same @NFL that’s paying Eric Reid. As for Kaep, there’s no doubt he’s being blackballed. But, once Kaep agreed to the settlement with the gag order, the #NFL owners can do and say what they want. Right or wrong, that’s reality.

When the former San Francisco 49ers signed that huge agreement with the NFL, this was bound to happen. The league as a whole faced a lot of scrutiny when Kaepernick protested.
Bernard Pollard Jr. agreed with the stance of Colin Kaepernick
Bernard Pollard Jr. had criticized Colin Kaepernick for taking the settlement money, but he agreed with Kap’s stance on the social issues. The former Ravens safety said, “I agree with the stance (kneel) Kap took. However, I don’t believe the “kneel” is the only reason he isn’t signed yet.”

Colin Kaepernick’s intentions were always right. However, some actions and the timing of those actions created a bad image of Kap in many people’s minds. The biggest factor that led to Kaepernick losing some of his supporters was him taking the settlement money.

However, not all people lost their trust in Kaepernick. The people still root for him and want him to make a return to the NFL. Colin Kaepernick himself hasn’t lost his faith and is continuously working hard to return to the league.
