Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs had a thrilling 2019 season in the NFL. They pulled off a stunning win in Super Bowl LIV against Jimmy Garoppolo-led San Francisco 49ers in Miami. After trailing for most of the game, Mahomes led the Chiefs to victory in the fourth quarter.

The 49ers led by a 20-10 margin with 11:57 on the clock. But Patrick Mahomes had different plans. Mahomes and Chiefs went on a rampant scoring spree in the final quarter of the Super Bowl. They demolished San Francisco by dropping 21 points over the final 8:33 of the fourth quarter to earn a smooth 31-20 victory. Throwback to this classic banger – ‘Take me Home, Pat Mahomes’

The Ringer website, which was launched by former ESPN sportswriter Bill Simmons, released the now-famous ‘Pat Mahomes, Take me home’ song’ at the start of 2019. This song is a parody of the famous ‘Country Roads by John Denver’. 

Almost instantly, it turned into a huge hit amongst Chiefs fans. It echoed across pubs and sports bars across Kansas throughout the 2019 season. After their Super Bowl LIV win, the site released an updated version of this song which included Chiefs fans as well.

There is no doubt about Patrick Mahomes’ throwing ability. But it must be argued that the star QB is blessed with some Olympic-grade wideouts at Kansas in the form of Mecole Hardman, Sammy Watkins, and Demarcus Robinson. However, one WR who stands out from the rest is 26-year old Tyreek Hill.

Recently, former Cowboys star Dez Bryant heaped praise on Hill. He tweeted “You can’t have these conversations with stat watchers… Tyreek one of my favorite players of all time and I’m not being biased but nobody covering that man one on one…I think he’s the best player in the league outside of Mahomes.”
