Patrick Mahomes is renowned for his impressive talent and gameplay on the field. However, during a recent encounter, his fellow competitor revealed a side of him that is often hidden. In the previous season, amidst an intense clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, fans were treated to an unforgettable showdown.

Maxx Crosby and Mahomes are widely regarded as one of the best duos in football. Besides their on-field battles, they occasionally engage in playful interactions with each other, which is worth noting. However, during this particular instance, Crosby escalated the competition to a serious level and ultimately ended up headbutting his opponent, Patrick, during last season’s match.

They literally went head-to-head!

During a recent interview with the Bleacher Report, Von Miller, a linebacker of the Buffalo Bills, questioned Maxx Crosby about the viral video showing their headbutting incident from last season. Crosby proceeded to recount the entire incident from a Monday Night Football game in Kansas City, stating, “Pat was running with a guy …..they were all running around the end zone and I get bumped behind my back, I get hit with his shoulder.” He continued, “I turned and it was Pat and he was still running and I’m like I’m not going for that so I ran straight to him and I headbutted them.”

Crosby also revealed that Patrick Mahomes is one of the most competitive players he has ever played with. He explained that while people are aware of Mahomes’ arm strength and throws, they might not realize his true competitive nature. Crosby mentioned, “When I’m out there he’s talking sh*t right back at me… most quarterbacks aren’t like that. They are silent, they’re not going to say much.” Besides Crosby, Washington Commanders’ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy also once talked about Patrick’s competitive nature.

Mahomes earning the title of a competitive person?

In addition to earning the title of a perfect husband from his wife Brittany Mahomes, it appears that Patrick Mahomes has another badge awaiting him. Apart from Maxx Crosby labeling him as a competitive individual, offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was questioned about Mahomes’ remarkable ability to respond to adversity during a media availability session. In his response, Bieniemy elaborated on the qualities that the quarterback brings to the team, making seemingly impossible situations appear conquerable.

He’s just a competitive person,” Bieniemy explained, via Chiefs Wire USA. “He’s a competitive player. It’s the intestinal fortitude that’s in him. He just refuses to accept that he’s not going to put himself out there to be with his teammates.” He further remarked on his upbringing, “But, I’ll say this, the kid is an outstanding kid and I’ve said this before, he was raised the right way.”
