‘Talks Too Much’ – Darius Leonard Hits Out at 2021 NFL Draft Class

Frank Reich-led Indianapolis Colts made a big move this summer by trading for experienced NFL quarterback, Carson Wentz. They will look to put together another playoff run in 2021. But before that, linebacker Darius Leonard had some words of advice for Trevor Lawrence and all the other young draft prospects.
There’s been quite a hype surrounding youngsters such as Ja’Marr Chase, Penei Sewell, De’Vonta Smith, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, and Zach Wilson. The 2021 NFL Draft class is tipped by the media to achieve big things in the coming years.

But Leonard warned these kids that their biggest fans now might turn into their greatest critics in the near future.

We all know how the American media is constantly analyzing and scrutinizing these youngsters. This is exactly why Colts star Darius Leonard has issued a warning to these kids ahead of this month’s 2021 NFL Draft which begins on April 29.

“This draft class talks too much for me! Let your work do the talking cause if you’re doing all this talking to the media or in social media and you don’t perform like you expect yourself to these media guys going to use it against ya! Keep ya mouth closed and grind! That’s it!” Leonard wrote on his official Twitter handle earlier this week.

There’s no doubt that this draft class is blessed with some skilled quarterbacks. But it also includes a Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver, a top-class offensive lineman, and record-setting running backs. The future is in good hands from an NFL perspective.

But all this noise will mean nothing if these youngsters don’t achieve their maximum potential. So it’s time to reduce the chit-chat and focus on the grind. Big year coming up for these kids and we couldn’t be more excited for them!
