NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians will be serving a fine of $50,000 to the National Football League. Coach Arians was seen slapping Adams on the head in his attempt to keep him away from the officials.
He was also trying to stop Andrew Adams from taunting the referees and giving the Buccaneers an unnecessary yard penalty. The league is really strict with its guidelines about how coaches and players should behave on the football field.

Many fans were less pleased with the league fining the reigning Super Bowl-winning coach and called the NFL league soft. Physical exchanges between players and coaches are a constant occurrence during NFL games. Coaches do from time to time physically react to successful and unsuccessful plays during games. In Arians’ defense, the coach only made contact with a fully secure and padded NFL player in a semi-aggressive manner.

Though his actions do not make for good optics professionally, the fine appears reasonable for a well-earning NFL coach.
Bruce Arians looking to appeal his innocence
The Buccaneers head coach did take the Monday press conference as an opportunity to explain his actions. He was quoted saying, “No, I’ve seen enough dumb (things). You can’t pull guys out of a pile. We just got a big play, great field position, and he’s trying to pull a guy out of a pile. And I was trying to knock him off that guy so he didn’t get a penalty.”

The video does not help Arians and his statement as his charge towards Adams looks more to scold the Buccaneers Safety. Coach Arians did confirm his intent to challenge the NFL’s $50,000 fine against him. But Arians will have to quickly shift his focus on the immediate threat that the Los Angeles Rams present. Their Divisional Round opponents are one of the most potent offensive lines in all of the NFL and will be a stern test of the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl credentials.
Both the Buccaneers and coach Arians will have to be their best version against a team that can cause an upset. A depleted roster with a lot of injuries in key positions will be something that Arians will be looking to overcome.
