Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs was recently revealing his playing status as he is in a race to get fit before camp. Last season, Brady played in the postseason with a completely depleted offensive line leading to an early exit.

But having a fully fit Wirfs return to protect Brady in 2022, will be a sign of a return to normality. The Buccaneers’ OT’s efforts did earn him his first All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors last season, but an ankle injury meant the end of his campaign. The 2022 NFL season will be without excuses for the franchise as they look to repeat their feat from the 2020 Super Bowl-winning season.

Is 2022 the year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

The memories from the last season’s disappointing exit from the NFL playoffs due to injuries might be hurting the Buccaneers fans. But the upcoming campaign will be a stark contrast to that situation as the band will be back together. The return of key figures like Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette will be a huge fitness boost as they eye the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Wirfs will be returning sooner due to the alleviation of early fears of requiring surgery on the torn ligaments. While Brady will be returning for possibly one more golden final hurrah before riding into the sunset.

It seems things are finely in place for the Buccaneers to make a deep run into the NFL postseason.
