Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs was recently revealing his playing status as he is in a race to get fit before camp. On Sunday, the Buccaneers players were turning up in numbers to support former head coach Bruce Arians and his foundation. It was during the event that Wirfs reveals to the assembly of reports that he is nearing 100 percent fitness.
The 1-time Pro Bowler will be a major injury boost for the franchise as they enter another season: full of high expectations. The return of 7-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady for his 23rd NFL campaign means going for broke.

Last season, Brady played in the postseason with a completely depleted offensive line leading to an early exit.

But having a fully fit Wirfs return to protect Brady in 2022, will be a sign of a return to normality. The Buccaneers’ OT’s efforts did earn him his first All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors last season, but an ankle injury meant the end of his campaign. The 2022 NFL season will be without excuses for the franchise as they look to repeat their feat from the 2020 Super Bowl-winning season.
