New England Patriots fans were visibly disheartened to see their long-time idol and hero, Tom Brady, depart Boston in January 2020. The 44-year old veteran quarterback opted to end his two-decade-long association with coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots in search for a new challenge elsewhere.
Brady was determined to prove his naysayers wrong after a couple of average seasons towards the end of the last decade. He penned a two-year deal with NFC South franchise, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to play under coach Bruce Arians.

“For me … I love playing football. [Bucs offensive coordinator] Byron Leftwich said something really good the other day: It’s a very simple game that’s so hard to execute. It’s a totally imperfect game that you’re trying to do as perfectly as possible. Every day I come out trying to do it. I’m hoping this is my best year,” the 44-year old veteran told King.
Brady concluded his debut campaign with the Bucs, throwing for 4,600+ yards with 40+ passing touchdowns to his name against just 12 interceptions. He will look to build on that display as the Bucs gear up for a tough title defence.
