Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made sure that the 347-pound nose tackle stays in the team. They have signed the Vita Vea to a four-year extension. Vea will remain with the team till 2026.

Vita Vea staying with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The nose tackles Vita Vea is the heart of the Buccaneers’ defense. Every time he is on the field, the opposition struggles to gain any yards. Vea has allowed the least amount of rushing yards against him. Since his start in 2019, Vita only has an average of 80.8 yards per game.

On Saturday night ESPN reported the news. They revealed that $42 Million is guaranteed to the 26-year-old. But if he stays with the Bucs he can earn up to $73 million over the course of five years. 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ nose tackle has emerged as one of the NFL’s most disruptive interior defensive linemen. He has a very unique combination of skills. On top of that, Vea also possesses amazing athleticism and inhuman strength. This makes him one of the best defenders today, no doubt.

The Buccaneers defense this season

Tampa Bay’s defense this season has been remarkable. They have only allowed an average of 91.4 rushing yards per game. That is the third-fewest yards allowed in the league. The rushing yards attempted against them are also the fewest in the NFL. Only 347 rushing yards were attempted against the Buccaneers.

In their last two seasons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers have only allowed an average of 3.6 yards per carry. The Buccaneers are currently enjoying a first place in the NFC South division. They have clinched the division and booked their place in the playoffs. The defending champions Tampa Bay are the favorites to win the Super Bowl again this season. With an impenetrable defense like this, they might win it all again this year.
