Week 8 came out to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a surprise as, despite a good spell by Tom Brady, they suffered their second loss of the season against New Orleans Saints. The 36-27 scoreline, in the end, was much of a disappointment to the Brady-led Bucs as now their run is shrunk to 6-2 so far this season.

And as the GOAT falls short of a win, the fanbase has got to be worried about the 44-year-old. However, the main reason for concern for them was that the Saints were able to defeat the defending champions without the likes of their starting or even their backup quarterback.

Saints dominating the Buccaneers

Trevor Siemian, the Saints’ third-string quarterback, stepped up on the occasion completing 16 of 29 attempts covering 159 yards with a touchdown and no turnovers. However, it was not only because of him, but the Saints’ defense completely owned the Bucs in the second half of the game.

Tampa Bay, after overcoming a 23-7 deficit in the second half, took the lead in the fourth quarter of the game. But Brady’s three turnovers striped the Buccaneers of a victory. Dennis Allen’s defense did wonders in the game, forcing three turnovers against a team that turned the ball over just three times over the previous six games.

Buccaneers losing an easy win

The Bucs have had a rough Sunday night, but they will have their chance to seek vengeance as they meet the Saints again in December. Till then they will have plenty of time figuring out a way to crack open the Saints’ brutal defense.
