Tampa Bay Star RB Leonard Fournette Reveals His Strategy to Get Rob Gronkowski Back to the Bucs Roster Ahead of the 2022 Season

Leonard Fournette is undoubtedly one of the best RBs in the NFL. Not only has he made his mark in the NFL, but he was also one of the best players ever in college football with exceptional statistics. Presently a part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Fournette is a Super Bowl champion. He is known to be close to the NFL GOAT, Tom Brady, and TE, Rob Gronkowski.
Recently, the RB appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and spoke about his journey in the NFL so far. They discussed trending news regarding the NFL great and Fournette’s teammate, Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski announced his retirement recently and the Bucs RB said he might have a strategy to bring him back.

Does Fournette think he can get Rob Gronkowski out of retirement?
During the conversation with Eisen, the host asked the Bucs RB about TE Gronk’s retirement. He asked whether there was a possibility that someone may persuade Gronkowski to come out of retirement during the season. Eisen asked Leonard if a call from Brady or Fournette might get the TE to reconsider his decision.
Fournette said, “I just know I will be calling his phone 24*7… we’re gonna need Gronk, man… Gronk… he’s special to our program and to the team… to the locker room… I mean his energy and vibe man.. who wouldn’t want to have him as a teammate. He’s a great guy and I love Gronk.”

Fournette’s words showed the high regard for Gronkowski in the Bucs locker room. It was also apparent from the conversation that the Bucs also rated the TE highly and would definitely allow him to join mid-season if he decided to un-retire like Brady.

At the very beginning of the conversation, Eisen had asked the star RB about a conversation he had via text message with Tom Brady. On that occasion, Fournette was visiting NFL franchises to see what they were offering. He was on a visit to the Patriots’ establishment when Brady texted him, asking what he was doing there. Subsequently, Fournette joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Brady himself played.
Eisen asked the RB if Brady had been behind the Bucs coming to recruit him and also said that Fournette’s class as a player is so high that even the GOAT texted him first.
