Coach Prime was not too pleased with those teams not taking the students of Jackson State football seriously. An NFL Network reporter also attended the event. He got to speak with the HC. During the interview, Sander sent a message to the missing NFL scouts.
Deion Sanders warns the NFL scouts
The pro day is very important for young athletes. This is where they get the opportunity to showcase their talents to the teams firsthand. Deion Sanders knows how hard these athletes have worked to get here. So it was natural that coach Prime did not appreciate the 10 teams sleeping on the players of Jackson State.
“Ten of them are missing. Don’t think I ain’t going to call you out,” said the head coach while pointing to the camera. “You 10 that’s missing if I catch you at Mississippi State or Ole Miss, it’s going to be a problem, that’s all I’m going to say. That’s all I’m saying. It’s going to be a problem. Our kids are that good, you should have shown up too.”
Ole Miss is a hotspot for future NFL players. Mississippi is where most of the talent scouts are interested in going. So there is a possibility that the 10 missing teams will show up. If they do, they better be careful of Sanders.

Coach Prime wants more HBCU players drafted this year
Last season, nobody picked a single player from the HBCU in the NFL draft. Exposure is really important for young athletes, and Deion Sanders knows that. He works hard with the players of Jackson State. While the rivals Alcorn and Mississippi Valley get a lot of players selected, Sanders wants HBCU to be represented as well. The HC does not want to repeat what happened last year.
Always a vibe chopping it up with @deionsanders on @nflnetwork @NFLTotalAccess about exposure needed to get HBCU-to-NFL pipeline flowing again.

“That’s not going to happen again. It’ll never happen again.” Sanders adds, “I know during the pandemic year we had an excuse, but that’s never going to happen again. My desire is 7-10 players this year. Then we’re going to try to double that.” There are a lot of talented players under the guidance of Coach Prime. Let’s see how many of these athletes get selected in the draft this year.
