That’s how the sheriff led the Denver Broncos to a victory against the Baltimore Ravens. Match after match, play after play, throughout his career on the field, Manning proved why he is a five-time Super Bowl MVP. The legend might have retired from the field, but his relentless pursuit to make the Broncos a formidable team remains an undying testament to his enduring legacy.

Ever since Manning’s retirement, the Broncos have struggled to live up to their former glory. Even experiencing a quarterback carousel of sorts till they traded Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. Is Russell Wilson their new messiah?

The Denver Broncos took to Instagram to honor and remember the day, Peyton Manning single-handedly reminded his critics that he might not be the jack of all trades but he certainly is the master of this one. He spent the first decade or so of his career with the Indianapolis Colts from 1998-2010, leading them to a Super Bowl victory in 2007. He played for the Broncos between 2012 and 2015, where his GOAT moment was scoring 7 touchdowns against the Ravens, and then winning a Super Bowl with the Broncos in 2016. Now, on the sidelines, Manning plays an important role as a mentor for many players. One of them being Russell Wilson.

While the Broncos were off to a slow start when Manning arrived. He proved to be their ride to glory with a passer rating of 105.8 with 4,659 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 16 games after starting as their qarterback. Whereas, Wilson’s first game consisted of sloppy penalties which cost the team 106 yards, and they recorded one of their poorest scores on the gridiron.”. Since then, things have been going downhill for the Broncos. Well, things are about to change with Manning stepping up as Wilson’s new mentor and head coach Sean Payton giving the team a major confidence revamp. The Broncos might just take it to the house this season.

In order to undo the Broncos’ narrative of losses, much depends on the ability of new head coach Sean Payton to reignite quarterback Russell Wilson’s winning form. After all, it’s a legacy of excellence that Wilson is determined to uphold as he steps onto the field in the Mile High City.
