Terrell Davis Says Julian Edelman ‘Will Be in the Hall of Fame’

Julian Edelman will no longer put on his shoulder pads and run through Gillette Stadium. The New England Patriots wide receiver called time on his career. He noted that the several injuries he sustained throughout his career have made it harder for him to continue playing. Many fans have called for Edelman to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And one NFL legend believes he will get the honor.

Former NFL star Terrell Davis spoke to TMZ Sports about Julian Edelman. He believes that Edelman will go into the Hall of Fame one day. Despite not making a Pro-Bowl or an All-Pro team in his career, Edelman was crucial for the New England Patriots. Terrell noted that he could see how hard Edelman worked and how important he was for the team. He showed up to play on any day for the Patriots and was always dependable.

“Always to me, it’s looking at impact. I don’t care about whether you made it to the Pro Bowl or First-Team All-Pro — I mean, those are great to have and they signify how great you’ve played. But, my eyes tell me that when I watch this man play every single Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, whatever day they played on, he was a playmaker.”

Terrell added that Edelman was a huge difference-maker for the New England Patriots, especially with the plays he made. He harkened back to the 2017 Super Bowl. Edelman was crucial for the Patriots coming back from the incredible 28-3 deficit at half time. Edelman will be in the Hall of Fame, and Terrell Davis gave his stamp of approval on it.

“He was a difference-maker. And, he made huge plays in the Super Bowl as we saw. If he doesn’t make that play, I don’t know if the Patriots win that game against the Falcons. For me, I’m saying yes, he is a Hall of Famer. Julian Edelman will be in the Hall of Fame.”

Should Julian Edelman be in the Hall of Fame? Despite not having major individual accomplishments, he did find great success with the New England Patriots. He was also a Super Bowl MVP in 2019, as the Patriots defeated the LA Rams.
