Owner Jerry Jones was not happy that HC Jimmy Johnson picks up all the credit for the wins and the championships at Dallas. Jerry didn’t like that he could be making millions for the franchise, but Johnson would still be in the headlines because he traded for the right player. “I want some of that fun,” Jerry had said, according to Johnson’s interview.

Jones also once declared that he could find another 500 coaches that can win him the Super Bowl. And Jimmy Johnson didn’t take this disrespectful comment lightly. He said that this was the last nail in the coffin of their relationship. “For him to say that and he apologized the next day but that cut pretty deep,” Johnson said.
