“That’s the F*cking Truth”: Aaron Rodgers Details Reports of Him Blatantly Ignoring Packers GM During Jets Trade

After months of back and forth and relentless negotiations,  Aaron Rodgers is finally with the New York Jets. The former Packers QB1 shook the entire NFL world after publicly asking for a trade away from Green Bay. At the time, A-Rod was willing to accept either a trade or retirement. While Rodgers eventually did get his wish, the transaction was far from ugly, with accusations levied against both parties.

As per Aaron Rodgers, the acquisition of Jordan Love signaled to him that his time with the Packers was nearing its end. Additionally, Rodgers also believes that winning back-to-back MVPs, just delayed the plans the Packers’ front office had for him. Still, the dynamic has lost the integrity it once did, and A-Rod recently spoke the truth about the lies spewed against him.

Aaron Rodgers denies all allegations

The New York Jets owner Woody Johnson visited Aaron Rodgers in Las Angeles along with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and several other Jets’ executives. While Rodgers was busy forging a relationship for the future, his past was also knocking on the door. Right after the Rodgers trade was finalized, the Packers’ GM, Brian Gutekunst, claimed that Aaron Rodgers refused to maintain contact with the Packers and even ‘ghosted’ him. Since these allegations, Aaron Rodgers had remained tight-lipped but the 4x MVP recently broke his silence during an interaction with the Athletic.

Turn out the relationship soured even before Aaron Rodgers went into his four-day darkness retreat, “Before I went in the darkness, I hit ’em up and said, ‘Hey, there’s some stuff swirling around here. We should get together, you, me and Matt.’ Did Brian text me more than I texted him? Yeah, but did I ghost him? No, I texted him back.”

Rodgers continued, “There was back-and-forths that we had and so this is the story you wanna go with? You’re gonna stand on this hill of austerity and say that arguably in the conversation of the best player in your franchise history, you’re gonna say I couldn’t get a hold of him and that’s why we had to move on?”

Rodgers further claimed that his cellphone reception might have played a part in him not communicating enough with the Packers’ front office, enough being the keyword. According to A-Rod, people who know him are aware of methods to get hold of him, methods known all too well to Brian Gutekunst, and turns out Aaron Rodgers only communicates to the people he likes.

Aaron Rodgers understands the Jordan Love situation

Despite his ongoing public spat with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers harbors no negative emotions for Jordan Love. After all, even Aaron Rodgers came in behind a future Hall of Famer in Brett Favre, and when it was time to pass on the mantle, Favre moved on to the New York Jets- quite similar to A-Rod.

Rodgers believes that Love is a ‘good dude‘, and understands the scrutiny that he would have to face coming in as a replacement to the legendary QB. With Rodgers moved on to greener pastures, the Packers are yet to showcase their unwavering confidence in Love, ignoring his fifth-year option. Instead, the front office has signed him to a one-year extension, carefully weighing their options and trying to maintain the same level of excellence that Aaron Rodgers once brought to the franchise.
