Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes got off to a rocking start in the NFL and has won many admirers in his four-year-old career. Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe is one such expert who predicts the 27-year-old star can eclipse Tom Brady by achieving longevity in his career. The 54-year-old former tight end also added that the young Mahomes has to do his best in every game to justify the MVP tag.

“Looking at what Mahomes is doing. It is just that the bar is so high because we have seen him do things that no other quarterback has done in his first four years of starting. Every time we expect that. That’s what great players do. We never ask that of any young quarterback. We gave it to him because he made everything to make it. So absolutely, yes,” said Sharpe.

When Mahomes was awarded the MVP in 2022, several fans asked if it was too early to award him such a prestigious honor. However, the young talent has found a lot of success in his first four years with the Chiefs. He has already achieved many more memorable feats than most QBs gained in their entire careers.

Mahomes has made the playoffs every year since becoming the starter. The rising star has won an NFL MVP award, a Super Bowl ring, a Super Bowl MVP, and two Conference Titles. Not many QBs can enjoy such a dream record in the early part of their career.
