As the NFL offseason continues, the New England Patriots and their head coach Bill Belichick are gearing up for the pivotal game. With 12 players already selected for the team this season, Patriots have decided not to trade their quarterback, Mac Jones. Jones has been playing as a quarterback, for the Patriots since his 2021 NFL first pick. He has 2,997 passing yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

With all the speculation swirling around about Jones’ potential contribution to the team this season, Belichick, recently in an interview, openly supported him. Answering all the questions about whether Jones is still his first choice & why is he not looking for another QB this season, Belichick affirmed that he still feels the same way about Jones, as he felt in the last training camp.

Yeah, I mean, look, Mac’s been our quarterback for two years,” Belichick, via NFL News, answered to the question if Jones was still his team’s no.1 option. “As I tell the team every year, each player, each coach, we all have to re-establish and prove ourselves every year. That’s what this league is. That’s for all of us – ‘23 is ‘23. We’ll see how ‘23 goes,” Belichick further explained.

Earlier, Belichick expressed his disappointment when New England ruled out from 2022 NFL payoffs, after losing in the 18th week. Despite the loss, Belichick this season has come up with full conviction and is unwilling to rest on his team’s past honor. Patriots this season have picked some skilled athletes, including cornerback Christian Gonzalez, linebacker Marte Mapu, and pass rusher, Keion White.

White’s stone-faced reaction to getting traded to the Patriots

Similar to Bill Belichick, Keion White also showed up some ultra-serious guy reaction after being traded to Patriots in the second round. The 24-year-old explained that this silent behavior helps him to better connect in the interview process. “Like, I don’t know if y’all seen on TV, but I’m a pretty chill person. So, I’m not very explosive in excitement in any form. So, I’ve just kinda been taking it in,” said White, via SI.
