Super Bowl LVXII was packed full of excitement and entertainment. But it became a home of controversies as well. But the one controversy that gained a fair share of attention was the jacket of Damar Hamlin. The young safety came back after a long recovery but fans did not give him a warm welcome.

It was certainly a surprise to see the visuals that were depicted on his jacket. As soon as he came in front of the camera, his images became viral on the internet. Controversies were bound to follow.

Damar Hamlin’s jacket shocked the world

Hamlin was seen wearing a jacket which showed a crucifixion of Jesus Christ with an altered head of Jesus. Hamlin came in front of the entire world to plead his case and clear his intentions.

“After talking with my parents I understand how my coat could have offended some people,” Hamlin wrote in a tweet. “It was never my intention to hurt or disrespect anyone, the coat is abstract art to me. It says Eternal which I am Eternally thankful to my Savior! My beliefs and Relationship with God are not tied to symbolic images. I will learn from this and continue to walk in Love as I ALWAYS have,” he added.

Adrian Peterson gets trapped in Hamlin’s controversy

If you look back at Adrian’s past, his life has been full of all sorts of controversies. This is why his comments on Damar Hamlin’s jacket have been titled hypocritical. This is why he came forward to apologize to Damar several times. In his statement, he said that he understood the controversy that his statement made. Thus, he took his words back privately.

In the end, it is quite clear that Hamlin still has no intention to hurt the sentiments of people. But, he has done it indirectly. Such incidents happen quite a lot even with the best of athletes. But they have to apologize and look past it.
