On the latest segment of Speak For Yourself, host Emmanuel Acho gave a detailed assessment of Brady’s final season in Boston. The former NFL player claimed that TB12 was the ‘pilot’ for the Patriots while coach Bill Belichick was the ‘co-pilot’.
He added, “The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were average to below average last year. They started the year below average and they ended at average.
“Right now they’re sitting as the best team in the National Football League….but New England Patriots last year with Tom Brady, they were average to above-average, made the playoffs, you could argue that they were elite, Super Bowl contention.
“Right now, they’re one of the worst teams in the National Football League.
“Wherever Tom Brady goes – Amazing. The difference is Tom Brady. Are you really going to tell me that Gronkowski is making the difference?” Acho said on the show.
Brady has been a driving force for the Buccaneers this season. The six-time Super Bowl winner has thrown for 1,900+ yards with 18 passing TDs and 4 interceptions. The Bucs are currently on a 5-2 record heading into Week 8.
