Gronk, after the 2021 season, wasn’t sure whether he will return to football. NFL world was up in debates, and many seemed to be sure about his return to Tampa Bay in 2022.
Former Baltimore Ravens QB, Robert Griffin III, was quite confident and placed an insane bet on Rob Gronkowski‘s comeback. RG3, on his Twitter account, wrote, “I’m so confident Gronk will come out of retirement when [Tom Brady] calls later in the season, that I will jump in the East River this winter if he doesn’t.”

Recently on his own sports talk show, NFL analyst Rich Eisen had an interview with Robert Griffin III. Eisen, commenting on his tweet, told him, East river is not something you want to jump into.

RG3, replying to Eisen, said, “Yeah, Rich. I was told shortly thereafter that, you know, there’s a chance that, if I jumped into the East River, I could walk out a couple of inches taller, maybe have an extra toe or foot? So I’m really like, I’m praying every night. ‘Please, God, let Rob Gronkowski come back, so I don’t have to jump into the East River in the winter.’ But I will stay true to my word. And if he does not come back, I’ll jump in the East River.”
Robert Griffin III is well aware of the challenge he has taken up and says he will keep his word. He has been told about the East River, which is one of the most polluted rivers in the country. Griffin can now only pray about Gronkowski making a comeback in the NFL.
