The Super Bowl is living up to the hype. The Philadelphia Eagles soared with the lead until the Kansas City Chiefs took over as the champions. But it looks like Glendale, Arizona, is becoming a problem. The Chiefs athletes dealt with some health-related issues after their arrival. However, the Super Bowl LVII turf at State Farm Stadium is becoming problematic. The NFL fans are complaining about it.

The Super Bowl LVII had some noticeable emotions before the kickoff. The game has remained a close battle for the lead. But the problem is buzzing around the turf, which has become a slip-and-slide affair for the teams.

Since kickoff, the Philadelphia Eagles have been having issues with the playing surface. As per Al.com, Jalen Hurts changed his cleats in the first half after he slipped into one of the large logos painted on the turf. ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates expressed his disappointment with the playing surface.

Several other NFL fans jumped into the conversation as they lambasted the State Farm Stadium’s surface.

The Super Bowl LVII turf may have complaints about being slippery. But it took a lot of effort, modern technology, and science to develop the variety of Bermudagrass called Tahoma 31. The league spent two years developing the special grass grown at a sod farm in Phoenix, which cost $800,000.

The Arizona Cardinals’ home field is exceptional because the playing surface is on a massive, rolling track. Since the unique grass was installed two weeks ago, they have rolled the surface outside the stadium. It has unfettered access to Arizona’s sunshine. However, the turf seems to become a banana peel in the NFL’s biggest games.
