Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shares a great bond with his father, Tom Brady Sr. For the NFL star, his father has always been an inspiration, and it is not the first time the GOAT got emotional while speaking about him. Brady’s father always supported his dream, whether it was to play in a baseball league or to become an NFL quarterback.

In an interview with ESPN, Tom Brady shares his early days and how his father had an impact on his career and life. NFL said, “There was never a moment where he didn’t have time to support what I wanted to do and try to achieve because it’s a hard thing to do. From the time I was a kid, you know, whether I was wanting to be a pro baseball player, we’d come home, and he would and take me onto the field and hit me ground balls till the sunset.”

Brady had a dream to become a pro-baseball player at first. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1995 as the 507th overall pick in the 18th round. Brady was a brilliant catcher in high school, but his passion to play in the NFL led him to join the University of Michigan. This is where the QB started his football career.

Brady further said, “And when I wanted to learn to play quarterback, he was the one that didn’t push me. He kind of held me up.” Brady says his father never forced him into anything.
