The QB had one of his accolades in one of the NFL’s most prestigious divisions. However, it looks like a curse is not leaving him behind. The Pro Football Hall of Fame made a big announcement over Matt Ryan on Twitter. The quarterback became the eighth QB in the NFL to reach 60,000 career passing yards. To give out some context, the number on the displayed game ball will remind Matt Ryan of a humiliating situation. It stems from the blown 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. It was the quarterback’s biggest career failure. Over the years, Atlanta’s second-half collapse gets mocked and dubbed the worst downfall in NFL playoff history.

After the playoff blow, Matt Ryan was focusing on the good. However, the fans would not let go of the position the Falcons went through. In a 2019 appearance with Andy Nesbitt, he recalled people screaming 28-3 and heard it more than he cared about it.
