Gisele Bündchen is a Brazilian supermodel of german descent who was raised in the Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil. The Vogue supermodel later shifted to America to pursue her modeling career where she got her first big break at New York Fashion Week 2016. Bündchen is married to the 44-year-old NFL star quarterback Tom Brady. 

The journey of Bündchen to become a supermodel was not an easy one. Recently, British Vogue shared a video on YouTube titled ‘Gisele Bündchen Breaks Down 22 Looks From 1982 to Now. In the video, she recalls her early modeling career when she walked at the 1998 Alexander McQueen Fashion Show.

Bündchen recalls, “I went to do this casting for Alexander McQueen and there were girls around the block. There were like a thousand girls. It was the craziest thing. And he was just sitting on this couch and he would just go and say, walk. And he would put you in these impossible shoes.”

The 41-year-old model shared her craziest experience while doing the casting for McQueen. During the casting, there were thousands of girls and Bündchen had to walk the ramp in those impossible shoes. She reveals how she was not able to figure out what type of dress she was wearing. She was confused about whether it was a T-shirt or something else.

Also, while walking the whole time she was constantly thinking about her father and how he should never see these pictures. She wanted to leave the show, but at the same time, she thinks that the initial struggle is what made her stronger and more successful.

Gisele Bündchen didn’t know the English language in her early modeling career

Gisele Bündchen also mentioned, that in the early stages of her career that she didn’t know how to speak English. She had appeared for 42 castings but was selected for only two international shows.

Bündchen further said, “I remember going to all these castings and nobody would even look at my book because it was the heroin chic time and I didn’t look nothing like the heroin chic.”

Gisele Bündchen has made it big in the modeling industry. She currently has a net worth of $400 million. Bündchen married Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Bardy in 2009, and the couple lives together with their two children. 

In the year 2000, Rolling Stone Magazine named her the ‘Most Beautiful Girl In The World’. Bündchen has appeared in 37 international editions of Vogue magazine and has acted in many TV commercials.
