Tom Brady is the most successful man in the sport of NFL. That does not mean he doesn’t feel the pressure of all the expectations. For every sportsperson, the ultimate burden is to carry all the hopes and dreams of those who believe them. And being the GOAT of a sport makes the task even harder.

Brady noted how intense the pressure is at this time of year as the Buccaneers continue pursuing the NFC’s top slot. With only a few games remaining, all of the best teams are desperate to claim the No. 1 spot. With that in mind, Brady recently spoke on his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast about how he feels before and after each game, especially given the high stakes.

Tom Brady feels the pressure this time of the year

“Every time we win a game, I feel like Wow, holy cow! It’s almost–there’s no do-overs. That’s the thing. There’s no do-overs. This isn’t acting. There’s no second take. This is live. This is in the moment,” Brady said.

“There’s so much at stake for all of us,” he added. “It’s not the winning and losing–yeah, that’s important. But there’s a lot on the line for individuals, for coaches, for families, for fans, for everyone that follows you. And you feel that expectation, you feel that pressure, you feel that anxiety and you don’t want to let people down. You don’t want to let your family down, because you know they’re all watching.”

Brady‘s fans are so accustomed to his success that anything less than a championship is viewed as a tremendous failure on his part. That is undoubtedly a disadvantage of greatness, though it is inspiring to watch the Buccaneers quarterback be honest about it and offer a side of himself that fans and other supporters seldom see.
