Lamar Jackson has not played since he sustained a knee injury in Week 13 of the regular season. Ravens fans, who have been anticipating positive news of his return, will be far from pleased with the current situation. Jackson’s playoff availability has been a hot topic for the NFL world. But the QB missed his 13th consecutive practice session on Wednesday.
To add to the drama, this non-answer from the Ravens’ head coach may have just sent the matter tail spinning into chaos.

John Harbaugh’s unconvincing statement may bring fans the least possible amount of reassurance. The head coach was asked whether Jackson would be ready for the playoffs. NFL insider Ari Meirov tweeted, “#Ravens QB Lamar Jackson once again did not practice today. Asked about his status, HC John Harbaugh said: “I’m just going to leave all that stuff alone and focus on the game and have the guys ready for the game.” Today marks 31 days since Lamar suffered his knee injury.” That response is far from positive for Ravens fans.

After being ruled out because of a PCL sprain, Jackson has not made an appearance. As his recovery window keeps getting larger, combined with Harbaugh’s seemingly annoyed response, fans are left with more questions than answers.

If Harbaugh’s curt response is viewed from the lens of the QB’s contract drama, fans will begin to suspect that something is amiss. The Baltimore Ravens’ evasiveness in updating fans about the QB’s status is remarkably strange. Jackson has been out for a month now and the updates do not indicate a positive outcome. Baltimore is 2-2 since the QB’s departure and is currently at 10-6 overall. Regardless of whatever the internal situation is, there’s no doubt that the team will need Jackson in his top form if they hope to find success.
