Who would have thought a school teacher would be getting his honor? The Kansas City Chiefs honoring the first lady of football and their former owner, Norma Hunt, formed the Norma Hunt Super Bowl Champion of Education program. Where the education program honors the female teachers who showcase excellence in the world of teaching.

The Chiefs announced their first honoree, where the teacher will be getting a chance to witness the Super Bowl game of the 2023 NFL season, live at the gridiron. However, the first honoree is a former Kansas City Public Schools and Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year.

Kansas City Chiefs special gesture for middle school teacher

Kayla McClellan, who teaches American History and AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) at Lincoln Middle School is selected for the honor. McClellan who signifies the importance of time management, and values such as confidence received the tag of “Ideal educator” from her colleagues.

Sharing her joy on receiving the honor, McClellan shared, “I just feel so blessed. It was genuinely a shock, and I think it was just so amazing and mind-blowing that I would be on someone else’s radar to be honored on such a large stage, It was an affirmation that what I’m doing is worth it.
