Rob couldn’t have done it without Tom Brady

Before we delve into the story, it is important to establish and clarify the rule. NFL players often have base salaries, and they earn extra money by reaching certain milestones, mutually agreed in their contracts. The Buccaneers‘ tight end, Rob had faced a conundrum regarding the said rule during the 2021 season. And he had only Brady to turn to before the season could come to a conclusion.

The 4x Super Bowl champ had the opportunity to come out of the said match against the Panthers with a full million-dollar incentive. He had to record 7 catches and 85 receiving yards by the end of the match to earn that million-dollar bonus. Rob already completed his receiving yard quest by the fourth quarter of the game with an insane 42-yard catch, which already confirmed half of the incentive. However, the other half depended on only one needed reception to meet the 7-catch target.

And he exactly did so by the end of that game, solidifying his reputation as a leader of the highest caliber. A few years have passed since then, and both of these legends have gracefully transitioned to pursue their off-field endeavors.

Divided by retirement, united by business ventures

After playing in the league for 23 years, the GOAT of football finally called it quits. And his teammate did the same but one year early. Brady, on the other hand, is still keeping himself associated with football with his recent purchase of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Both Brady and Rob have proven time and time again how effective a duo can be. They were remarkable in their field and have achieved greatness. Year after year will pass, but fans will forever cherish these memories. Although the pair aren’t seen together anymore, they still constantly make headlines.
