Most fans often dream of appearing on their favorite shows or meeting a character on the show. However, some of them get to do so albeit in minor cameos. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one such lucky fan. The Super Bowl XLV MVP and long time fan of HBO’ Game of Thrones graced our screens in the penultimate episode of the 73 episode series. However, there is still confusion as to who he played.

The NFL star put an Instagram post saying he’ll always be thankful for the opportunity. The post also acknowledges the fact that it was only for a few seconds.

However, despite the approximately quarter of a minute screen time, fans can be absolutely jealous of Rodgers. This is because he has a lifetime of memories on set and will forever be part of ‘Game of Thrones’ most destructive battle.

As per his costume in the Instagram post as well as grabs of what is supposedly him in the episode, he plays a soldier to the Lannister ruled Iron Throne at King’s Landing.

The quarterback is first spotted among a line of soldiers who line up as the forces from the north arrive at the gates. Another image seemingly shows Rodgers sprinting from the flames.

However, the 2× regular-season NFL MVP dismissed both these “spottings” whilst chatting with reporters.

“It wasn’t the guy that got burned up. And I’m disappointed in every person who would actually say that was me. Cause if you watch that person run they are a total non-athlete,” said Rodgers. Upon first glance, it certainly isn’t conclusive amidst Drogon’s fire and the haze, dust, and debris at King’s Landing.

“Total non-athlete,” repeated before adding, “And I wasn’t the archer either, although that person looked like me.”

This makes sense as the red color of the costume is way different to what Rodgers is wearing in his Instagram post. When quizzed if he was the one near the bell tower, Rodgers replied, “Sure.”

Did you manage to spot Aaron Rodgers on a first glance whilst watching ‘The Bells’ for the first time? Do you think he was on fire and just deflected the fact?
