Former Indianapolis Colts punter and podcaster Pat McAfee recently provided a very intriguing story regarding golfing legend Tiger Woods and a big-money offer. The 4-time PGA champion recently rejected a lucrative LIV Golf Investments offer worth hundreds of millions in a show of loyalty to PGA. The controversial LIV Golf series has been trying to poach the top golfers for their events with significant financial backing, like Phil Mickelson.

Eventually, the news featured on the Pat McAfee Show, with the podcaster sharing his thoughts about how significant Woods rejecting LIV is for the PGA.
While revealing information about the alleged deal, Woods states, “It is now alleged that Tiger Woods was offered high 9 figures to go to that tournament. That would be massive if Tiger Woods went over there. It would be game, set, and match, pal!”

The former Colts punter isn’t far off as Woods is among the most successful athletes in his sport. He also reveals that Woods decided to stay loyal to PGA despite earning significantly. He would be earning a lot less than joining the LIV Tour golfers.
The podcaster even discusses the large differences between Woods and former World No.1 golfer Dustin Johnson. Johnson also left the PGA Tour for LIV, citing that the latter’s offer would be good for his family.
Tiger Woods stays within familiar surroundings by rejecting the LIV Tour
The CEO of LIV Golf Investments, Greg Norman, reveals that the offer for the golfing legend was in the ‘high nine digits’. The golfing legend stands precariously close to joining NBA megastar LeBron James to become the second active athlete billionaire. But it seems Woods is in no hurry to adopt that route.

Woods has stood tall by remaining disillusioned with the big-money offers. However, golfers like Kevin Na, Sergio Garcia, Branden Grace, and Charl Schwartzel have joined the LIV Tour. The participation in the LIV Tour and exit from the PGA Tour make these golfers ineligible for participating in the Ryder Cup.
They won’t be able to represent their nations after leaving the PGA.

While the LIV Tour has seen an exodus of players from PGA, it would be concerning for all these golfers. These golfers will be holding out hope that things change in the future. While they will have a lucrative opportunity, they won’t be eligible for competing for all the silverware.
