Tom Brady has done wonders with the pigskin. In his decorated 23 seasons in the league, TB12 has conquered the peak. He is the most-winning quarterback in NFL history and his seven Super Bowl rings are more than any player or franchise ever collected. However, his throwing expertise extends beyond NFL-regulated balls.

On the most recent episode of the Let’s Go Podcast with Jim Gray, Tampa Tom discussed his iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy throw after winning the championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. And Brady’s guests for the episode, Steve Young and Roger Staubach, were quite familiar with the incident as well.

Tom’s co-host, Jim Gray, asked former Dallas Cowboys signal-caller and 2x Super Bowl champion, Staubach, if Brady’s throw was good enough to get him in the navy. And Roger clarified that Tampa Tom would be a fine sailor. “I do remember it,” the 80-year-old iconic QB said.

The elite QB was more impressed with this throw than the three title-winning touchdown passes from the game.

Tom Brady rates the Lombardi Pass high for its technique and precision

In the 31-9 domination of the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady threw two touchdown passes to his favorite teammate back from the New England Patriots days, Gronk. And for his third touchdown, the 5x Super Bowl MVP found controversial former wideout, Antonio Brown. However, Brady still thinks they weren’t as good as the throw during the parade.

I was over-served. And it was probably the best throw I’ve had the entire week of the Super Bowl. That was a quadruple coverage, and I threaded the needle pretty well. That was pretty good,” Tom Brady reminisced on his podcast.
