Titans’ Derrick Henry ‘Not Worried’ About His NFL-Highest Rushing Numbers This Season

Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans has enjoyed a great season so far. He has been one of the marquee players for the franchise, as they have an 8-4 record, and are first in the AFC East.
In fact, Derrick Henry is leading the NFL in rushing yards this season, much like last year. In the wake of Henry’s performances, the Tennessee-based outfit have a great chance to make the Playoffs this year.
However, Henry doesn’t want to focus on his statistics. When asked about his feat, he said he wants to stay focused on winning games for the Tennessee Titans.

He said, “I’m not really worried about stats. I’m worried about winning. Stats are stats. But for me, I’m worried about winning. Forget the stats.”
In fact, Head Coach Mike Vrabel is of the same mindset. He wants to help improve their season and bolster their stronghold and post-season aspirations.
Additionally, he believes that Henry’s rushing numbers are a by-product of the team’s outstanding performances this year. He said, “I’m not really worried about stats. I’m worried about winning. Stats are stats. But for me, I’m worried about winning. Forget the stats.”
Derrick Henry ‘out-rushing’ the competition
Henry has been one of the major driving forces for the Tennessee Titans this season. As mentioned earlier, he leads the NFL this season in rushing yards.
However, this isn’t the first time that Henry has earned the honor of boasting of that accolade. Last season, Henry led the NFL in rushing yards, setting an NFL-high of 1540 yards in barely 15 games.

But this year, he looks set to break his own personal best. Currently, he has 1317 rushing yards this season, but in just 12 games. If Henry continues to play at the same rate, he will surely surpass his tally from 2019.
His numbers last season alone were fantastic, and the fact that he is on the verge of surpassing those numbers is absolutely ludicrous.

The Titans will be hoping that Henry goes from strength to strength for the remainder of the regular season and then further in the NFL Playoffs.
The Titans will prepare the team in a way that the whole roster is performing at the highest level. It remains to be seen where the Titans finish this season in the AFC.
