In their recent match against the Packers, the Titans had the last laugh. Aaron Rodgers and Christian Watson fought hard for the Packers. But it bore no fruit as Mike Vrabel’s men recorded a 27-17 win in front of 77,506 attendees at the Lambeau Stadium on Thursday night football. The first quarter witnessed a seesaw battle, whereas the remaining quarters favored the visitors. They thoroughly dominated the possession play, while the Packers’ defense, one among the lowest ranked in the league, struggled to cope against the running game. Earlier Derrick Henry punched in a TD, just before halftime, to hand the Titans an advantage.

When Aaron Rodgers and Watson set the stage on fire

Playing two games in five days has not deterred the young WR Christian Watson. The 23-year-old has four TD catches, and interestingly, the last Packers rookie receiver with at least  4 TD catches in a season was James Lofton. The Pro football HOF-er had six TDs in 1978.

Aaron Rodgers set the stage on fire from the other end. He formed a terrific pair with Watson to lead the revival of the Packers. The senior pro ran a quick play before the end of the quarter. He made use of a free play and took a shot down the field to Christian Watson.

The rookie, who came to the game after a brilliant show against the Cowboys, made the catch, to make it 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. A-Rod seems to have regained his form, as he has five TDs in his last two games.

A-Rod and his young army will have time to recover before they meet the Eagles on Sunday Night Football on November 27 at Lincoln Financial Field. The hopes of a wild-card playoff are not completely down and out. At present, the 49ers are the only challenge lying ahead in the playoff race.

A loss is a bitter pill to swallow, but fans would hope the Packers have learned their lessons.
