“I’m Not Crying”: Washington Commanders Viral Video Moves NFL World Into Tears

Reaves broke down as Rivera told him about making the Pro Bowl roster. But, it wasn’t just the happiness of being selected that caused him to react emotionally. His climb to the top has not been an easy one. After being unselected in the 2018 NFL draft, Reaves was an Eagle for a brief period. He then made his way to the Commanders’ practice squad. From 2018 to 2021, Reaves was cut from Washington’s final roster. This season Rivera made his debut in the Commanders’ main roster and proceeded to lead the league in special team snaps and tackles. Apart from that, the safety lost his mother last year. The tears in his eyes were a testament to the years he’s spent on the sidelines.
