Veronica Burton’s father, Steve Burton played a prominent role in Brady’s life. For the sake of extending his affection for the Burton family, Brady made a sweet phone call. “Hey, Veronica, what’s up? I just wanted to congratulate you on being drafted,” Brady said on the call, which Burton (Veronica’s sister) posted on her Twitter account.

“The four-time Big Ten steals leader, I know you’re a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award, an All-American, and now you’re in the WNBA. Congrats to you. I know the Burton family very well. I’ve known your dad for a long time, your brother [Austin]. Just know that I’m always cheering you from afar and I wish you the best of luck.” Indeed, it was an incredible achievement for the 21-year-old player to get a WNBA draft.

Hailing from a sports family, she had a fondness for basketball from a very young age. She was born on 12th July 2000 in Newton, Massachusetts. She was successful in leading the Big Ten in steals for four years and became a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award for the best point guard in the country.
