Tom Brady has endured another loss on Thursday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens, as their horrendous season continues. Fans were excited to see the match-up between Brady and Lamar Jackson. However, the former looked absolutely dispirited after the loss. Moreover, Brady created an unfortunate record, which probably dampened his spirit even more.

Before the games started, Brady only needed two sacks to become the most-sacked quarterback in the history of the NFL. Incidentally, it happened in Thursday’s game against the Ravens.

Tom Brady became the most-sacked quarterback in the history

In the first half, Ravens’ linebacker Justin Houston sacked Brady twice to put Brady’s name in the history books forever. After the first minute in the second quarter, Houston completed the second sack on Brady. As a result, Brady now has 555 sacks in total.

Previously, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger held the record for most sacks, i.e. 554. Now, Brady holds that record after spending 23 years in the NFL.

During his weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go’, he recently talked about that record, as he made fun of himself. He said, “I’d like to actually thank my complete lack of agility and speed for allowing me to knock on the door of this very esteemed NFL record… Like we always say, some things get better with age, I think the feeling you get when you’re sacked is not one of those.”

Is Brady’s season with the Bucs over?

Brady played a better game on Thursday than he did last Sunday against the Panthers. Against the Ravens, he threw 325 yards for one touchdown; also he completed 26 of 44 passes with no interceptions. Despite Brady’s efforts, the Bucs could not do anything against Lamar Jackson and his team.

Both offensively and defensively, they crumbled in the second half. In the second half, they gave up a total of 24 points; and in the end, they lost the match 22-27. After the game, Brady looked disheartened while facing the media. He gave credit to the opposition team but felt disappointed with his team’s performance.

After losing against the Ravens, the Bucs have moved down to the second spot in the NFC South division. They can still sneak into the playoffs if they continue to win from here on, starting next Sunday against the Rams, which will be a do-or-die match for Brady and the Bucs.
