Two months after his retirement, Tom Brady still arguably retains his greatest of all time status. He will continue to do so till someone (Patrick Mahomes) catches up to his seven Super Bowl rings. And to be perfectly honest, many NFL experts don’t see anybody surpassing Brady’s legacy. One former NFL linebacker paid TB12 a unique tribute, cementing his GOAT status.

Former defensive linebacker for the Washington Redskins and Las Vegas Raiders, and present-day host of the Barstool Sports Podcast, Will Compton, put Brady on the highest of pedestals. And all without Tom actually being present.

Compton and his daughter visited by the Goat?

After 23 seasons of staying on top, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NE Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally hung it up this year. And post-retirement Brady has been spending his time with his children, promoting his movie ’80 for Brady’, and working on his various business ventures. Recently, Brady became a part owner of the Las Vegas Aces WNBA team.

However, Will Compton reminded the NFL world of the iconic quarterback when he tagged him in a picture of an actual goat wearing a bowtie. “Thanks for taking the time to grab a photo with my daughter, Tom Brady. You did great with the kids,” Compton tweeted.

Compton and Brady’s past Twitter interaction was equally hilarious

Once an on-field rival, Compton’s NFL career certainly did not reach the heights Brady’s did. However, the two did converse on Twitter a few weeks ago. Right after his emotional second retirement in February, Brady jumped into promotional work for his apparel line, Brady Brand. The 15x Pro Bowler posted a selfie of himself in his underwear. And the internet went berserk. Will Compton recreated Brady’s iconic underwear pose and TB12 replied!

Tom Brady and I thought it’d be fun to collab on selling merchandise,” Will tweeted. Tom replied, “Merch swap? Send the maize + blue hat and I’ll get some Brady Brand out to the boys.” However, it was Will’s next tweet that made things slightly awkward. “This is awkward to type out since we were rivals for a decade. But if you followed me back, then I can DM and get an address to send you the hat,” Compton wrote.

Well, it worked. Compton got Brady to follow him. Tom may even have received some of his merch, if Compton was true to his words. Sources can’t confirm.
