Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his NFL future continue to be a subject of intrigue despite his announcement to return in 2022. While many fans have been calling for Brady to extend his stay, he received a special request. The request for Brady to stay a Buccaneer beyond the upcoming season came from his teammate and Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.

The 2020 Super Bowl-winning CB recently visited his roots at Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township. Murphy-Bunting was hosting a camp for prospective local football players in the area. It was during his visit he shared his thoughts.

While talking with WXYZ Detroit’s Jeanna Trotman, Murphy-Bunting talks about Brady, stating, “That’s TB12, that’s my guy. So, I’m definitely happy to have him back. I don’t want him to ever retire. But obviously, that’s not gonna happen. Tom, I’m gonna make sure you see this video because I’m gonna personally send it to you. Don’t leave us. Please stay with us forever. And I love you, man.”

The plea from the Buccaneers CB is part of the many voices inside the organization and among fans of the legendary QB. However, the chances of Brady continuing beyond this upcoming season appear low following recent comments about his future. His recent interview with Dan Patrick suggests he is looking forward to learning his trade in sports broadcasting.
