Winston with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jameis Winston was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa bay Buccaneers. He made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season with the Bucs and was once expected to be the “next big thing.” However, the years that followed did not go well for him or the Bucs. The young QB’s passing prowess was overshadowed by the winless form of the franchise.
The Bucs went 28-42 with Winston, and the bright flames of his glamour suddenly extinguished. After spending half a decade in Tampa Bay, he moved on to the Saints as a backup to Drew Brees. He signed two one-year contracts in 2020 and 2021. He now looks for teams that complement his abilities as an effective quarterback.

Buccaneers replacing Tom Brady with Jameis Winston?
According to the Bleacher Report journalist Kristopher Knox, the Buccaneers may look for their former QB to replace Tom Brady. “A team with weapons but no surefire starting quarterback such as the Pittsburgh Steelers or even Buccaneers—if Tom Brady retires—could give Winston an opportunity to restart his career,” Knox reported.
Winston’s seven games early in the 2021 season could not be ignored. He led the Saints to a boosting 5-2 start, before picking up a knee injury. He was tackled by Devin White during his game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Judging by his raging form, it’s safe to say that the Bucs will be ready to place their bets on him again.
