Tom Brady Might’ve Had a Role in Cristiano Ronaldo’s Hattrick but the Soccer Star Had None in Brady’s Return

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have regained their winning form after a slump this season. Brady’s Bucs beat the Seahawks in an epic Munich matchup. However, Sunday’s matchup at FC Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena wasn’t Brady’s first visit to a soccer stadium.

 

In a recent interview with journalist Piers Morgan, Tom Brady’s subject came up and Cristiano Ronaldo had nothing but respect for a fellow GOAT. However, the striker denied the fact that he convinced Brady to come out of retirement.

CR7 was thought to be the one behind Tom Brady’s un-retiring

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against premier league rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their March matchup. Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady was also present at the Old Trafford stadium with his son Benjamin. At this point, Brady was a retired professional, having announced his decision to end his career a month ago. However, Brady changed his mind and came back to the NFL only a few days later. And the sporting world assumed it was Cristiano who convinced TB12 that it was too soon.

And 45-year-old Tom Brady is the perfect one to have that conversation with. However, in the last Uncensored interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, CR7 clarified that it wasn’t him who pushed Brady to play on.

I think he had taken the decision a few weeks before that. He’s a very smart guy who knows a lot about football (soccer). We had a nice conversation. I don’t think that had anything to do with it, though,” Ronaldo said after joking that maybe he was a good psychologist to make Brady carry on.

Ronaldo denied having anything to do with Brady’s un-retirement and subsequent family problems. However, he did think Tom Brady’s presence at the Old Trafford Stadium was a positive energy that helped the Manchester United no. 7. “I felt good energy,” said the five-time UCL champion about the seven-time Super Bowl champion. Piers Morgan also felt that the presence of another sport’s GOAT might have inspired CR7, who also thinks he is the GOAT of soccer. Ronaldo wholeheartedly agreed and showered respect on TB12.
