It was certainly not the day that Tom Brady would look back to. This day marked the end of the 2021 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Rams. The Brady side lost by 27-30 after starting a slow start to the game. The Bucs started to pick up the pace by the end of the third quarter. However, they failed to seal the win in the end.

The Bucs, at one point in the game, trailed the Rams by 27-3. For some Brady fans, this scoreboard deficit might ring bells. Tom Brady made an incredible comeback in the Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons. The Patriots were trailing the Falcons by 28-3 in the second half when Brady started to unleash his beast in the end.

Brady led the Patriots to an overtime win against the Falcons to win the Super Bowl. It was simply an astonishing feat achieved by the quarterback going up against the Rams the scoreboard yelled a similar situation. Brady even picked up the pace in the end but unfortunately fell short of just three points in the end.

Brady during his post-game press conference pointed out what was the difference between his Atlanta comeback and his comeback worthy spell against the Rams. “It was a great comeback, and obviously, it took a lot you know,” Brady said. “Guys made a lot of great plays to get us back into it and you know you don’t have a lot of margin for error at that point and defense kept coming back big and sometimes we made it, sometimes we didn’t.”

He further went on to talk about how his players were going down one after another, which made it difficult for him to serve with an already crippled squad. He also mentioned that players like Tyler and Jaelon went down, but the team still managed to come up strong in every play.

After all the difficulties faced by the Bucs and leading a depleted squad, Brady is certainly worth the praise to lead them for a possible comeback in the end, against a team that pretty much seems invincible.
