“Yeah, it’s just the reality of football, you know. It’s one team one year and then it’s never the same after that and you just you know you got to work hard to put yourself in a position to be successful.” Tom Brady said that in response to a question regarding how difficult it’d be for him to not be able to play with the same players next year.
NFL players switch teams often and for various reasons. Some players change teams to get a pay raise. Other players want to play alongside fellow teammates who share similar values and goals. Most players switch teams because they dislike playing for their current team or because they want new scenery and a fresh start with a new set of teammates.

Moreover, Bucs’ leading receiver, Chris Godwin will be a free agent in 2022. Although Buccaneers could re-sign him next year, they would have to pay him a fortune. Other free agents include tight-end Rob Gronkowski, running back Leonard Fournette, center Ryan Jensen, and many more.

It is often difficult to get to the ways of playing with new players. In a team-sport like football, team coordination often plays a key factor. Each team can only field eleven players on the field at any given time, and football takes a lot of work — not just physically, but mentally too — so everyone needs to be on the same page when they’re out there. Thus, Brady and the Buccaneers will face a tough task to fill in the correct pieces and launch a successful campaign next season.
