Tom Brady switched teams for the first time in his 20-year career in the NFL. The 6× Super Bowl Champion elected not to re-sign with New England Patriots and moved to the NFC South to join Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, this is not just for a final payday as Brady seems desperate to not live on his laurels. He organized a passing session to familiarize himself with his new offensive teammates.

As per Tampa Bay Times, the session took place at Berkeley Preparatory School.

NFL insider James Palmer said, The plan in Tampa was for these WRs to talk, text and Zoom to start to get to know Tom Brady on a personal level while we were all social distancing. The idea was once they could throw together they kind of already knew each other in a way and could get to work on the football.”

However, Brady is one who believes in practical rather than theoretical preparation. The 42-year-old quarterback is the new kid on the block. But he was in charge of the two-hour throwing session which included wide receivers Mike Evans and Scotty Miller, running back Dare Ogunbowale, and the tight end duo of O.J. Howard and Cam Brate. The quarterback was said to be organizing his offensive teammates runs, and instructing them where to cut.

Furthermore, Brady himself practiced catching the ball from the snap as center Ryan Jensen was part of the training session. Also at the venue were backup quarterbacks, Ryan Griffin and Blaine Gabbert.

As per ESPN, a league spokesperson said Tom Brady is within his right to hold training sessions. However, while doing so he has to follow guidelines of his state, local authorities, and medical experts. Brady’s training session had only 8 people which is well within the 10 person limit allowed by the State of Florida.

Brady knows he will always be subject to scrutiny and does not want any more blips to his name. Last month he was spotted working out in a park. Also, he mistakenly entered the wrong house when going to meet offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

Will Tom Brady be a success at Tampa Bay Buccaneers? He certainly is going all out to ensure this.
