Tom Brady has had an eventful year. After his short-lived retirement, the Tampa Bay quarterback came back to the league. Unfortunately, this season may not be looking too good. TB12 and the Bucs are currently very mediocre when compared to the other divisional leaders in the league. That being said, Brady has been through a very eventful year.
Throughout the season, the NFL world may not have heard too much from Brady on the field or during press conferences. But his podcast ‘Let’s Go!’ has become a treasure trove of insights. On the latest episode of Brady’s podcast, TB12 engaged in conversation with a former player and coach. Former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was the most recent guests on ‘Let’s Go’. The episode comes at the right time, given Brady and the Bucs’ recent victory over the Saints. TB12 and Payton were in the spotlight earlier this year after the Miami Dolphins wanted to pair the two together. During this time Payton left the Saints and Brady announced his retirement. But that obviously did not happen and the Dolphins faced the consequences of tampering with Brady and Payton.

Tom Brady and Sean Payton share more than just their professional inclination
The duo talked about various things including what the two of them have in common. Brady opened the conversation by saying, “You know Sean and I have a lot in common. You know, our middle names are Patrick, we both grew up in the Bay Area, San, Mateo, but obviously coaching for the Saints all those years they’ve always said ‘Who dat, who dat.’ Did you ever figure out who dat was, or who dat is?.” Although the conversation veered off in the direction of the Saints’ slogan, it’s impossible to ignore the commonalities between the two.

Another statement from Payton may hint at Brady’s potential retirement. The Bucs quarterback has stated in the past that he would like to have a second career in broadcasting after his retirement from football. Brady’s co-host Jim Gray mentioned how TB12 would eventually make it to Fox but by then Payton would leave the organization.
