Tom Brady isn’t one who usually grabs headlines with his comments. But recently, the quarterback deviated from his usual course of action.

During an appearance on ‘The Shop: Uninterrupted’ earlier during the offseason, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB talked about his experience with free agency before the start of the 2020 NFL season.
While the quarterback eventually signed with Tampa, a bunch of other teams too were interested in signing Brady. But one team, in particular, cooled their interest in the latter half of negotiations.

And Brady took that personally. While not disclosing the quarterback or the franchise, Brady relayed his reaction to the snub in a rather explicit fashion. “You’re sticking with that mother******?” said while referring to the club’s current QB.
This got NFL fans intrigued. Who was this quarterback Brady was referring to? A bunch of names popped up. But Brady has recently cleared the air by scratching out one QB from that list.

Tom Brady says Ryan Tannehill was not the QB mentioned
Talking to the Tampa Bay Times, Tom Brady was asked whether or not Tennessee Titans‘ Ryan Tannehill was the QB he was referring to in his rant. But Brady quickly ruled that out.

“I like Ryan a lot,” Brady said. “I think he’s a great player. Obviously, a great leader for the team and has done a great job. Last year was phenomenal, year before that was great. I really like competing against him a lot, he’s beaten me quite a few times.”

Plenty of names still remain in contention. The two main front runners being, San Francisco 49ers and his former Patriots teammate Jimmy Garoppolo and Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr.
