Tom Brady and his legacy in the NFL is unmatched. He is considered to be the GOAT of the game. And why not? With 7 Super Bowl champions to his name in a career of 23 seasons, Brady has set the bar very high for QBs in the league. And the 45-year-old was the oldest serving QB last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Brady retiring from the game earlier in February, he is looking forward to other ventures in his life, while spending time with his three beautiful children.

While Brady may have carved himself to be one of the legends in the league, he does not expect his kids to follow in his footsteps into a career in football. In fact, the 7x Super Bowl champion, just like any other parent, is ready to support his kids in all phases and choices of their lives.

All of Tom Brady’s kids love different things. During a recent interview with ESPN, the host Jeremy Shapp talked about Brady’s eldest son Jack (shared with first wife Bridget Moynahan), being a QB, and his ambitions for him and the rest of the Brady bunch. Brady said that he wants Jack to “find things in life that allow him to get up every day to be internally motivated, to work hard at something he loves to do.” Talking about the other side of the glamour, TB-12 said, ” I don’t think football, I looked at a lot of it. I wouldn’t choose for him to do that. Because there is too many crazy expectations that people would put on them. And most of them probably very unfair actually.”

Talking about parenting, he felt that parents should always support their children in following their own dreams and passions. He stated that whatever, Jack, Benjamin, and his daughter Vivian choose in life, he’s there to “support them”. Brady further went on to talk about how his own parents helped him realize his own dreams of playing in the NFL, and that is exactly what he wants to provide for his kids as well. He said, “We should support out children, whatever they may be. It doesn’t need to be sports, it could be whatever, could be performing arts, could be music, it could be, you know, science, it could be law. It could be medicine. And I think that is a part of what being a parent is.”

The Brady bunch is a diverse bunch

Once, during an interview with Men’s Health, Tom Brady opened up about the different personalities that each of his kids has. He talked about how his oldest son shares the same interest as him in football. This led to Brady bonding with him over sports. On the other hand, his youngest son, Benjamin, is not a football fanatic like his brother or father. In fact, young Benny faced the pressure of being the son of the NFL GOAT in school. Despite his interest in softer sports, Benjamin was expected to take part in ball-dominated sports just like his brother. This also led to him facing bullying during a baseball game in Boston.

But despite their individualities, Brady will not be looking to pressurize any of his kids into something they do not wish to do. In fact, he will be excited to be a part of their own individual journeys in life, as they all continue to achieve their own personal goals with time.
