Tom Brady Shares Friendly Jabs With Younger Teammate Who “Outlasted” Goat by a Month

NFL GOAT Tom Brady and his glory days might be behind him. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB hung up his cleats a few weeks ago. Post his retirement, Tom Brady took a step back and has been relaxing with his newfound freedom. He is spending time with his children and making it his priority for the moment. Brady has also taken up feline fatherhood, as his kids adopted a kitten as well for their home. After almost a month after TB12 announced his retirement, the former QB took to social media to congratulate a former teammate on successfully retiring from the game as well.

Tom Brady extended his congratulations to ex-Patriots colleague Devin McCourty, who has recently announced his retirement from the NFL on social media.

In a recent Instagram story. NFL GOAT Tom Brady shared his congratulatory message for former Patriots safety Devin McCourty after he recently announced his retirement. McCourt played 13 seasons for the New England Patriots and was also a part of the Brady Patriots era.

In the IG story shared, Tom Brady wrote, “New England legend. You outlasted me by a month! Congrats on the well deserved retirement.”  TB12 also announced his retirement from professional football last month after a successful 23-season career in the NFL. Brady congratulated Devin McCourty for retiring a month after his own retirement and also for the successful career he had with the New England Patriots.

Devin McCourty announced on Friday that he is retiring from football to move on with other things in his life. Throughout his career, the three-time Super Bowl champion has a record of 35 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles, 971 tackles, and three sacks. He was an important part of Belichick’s defensive arsenal till the end of his playing days.

A future like TB12 after football?

After retiring from the NFL, Tom Brady is set to join FOX Sports as an NFL analyst in 2024. Like his former teammate, Devin McCourty could also move ahead towards a possible media career in the times that are to follow his own retirement. If he chooses to do so, we might be seeing the former Patriots’ safety being broadcasted on national television with an alternative career path in front of him.

But until then, McCourty will also like to relax and enjoy the essence of retirement for a while. Both Tom Brady and Devin McCourty have dedicated considerable efforts and energy to the NFL. So taking a step back and enjoying life could be the best possible decision to take at the moment for the former safety as well.
