The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and other top-tier signal-callers are busy practicing for the upcoming golf exhibition match in Las Vegas. The trash-talking for the event has already begun. Interestingly, Brady has found a new prey to grind on social media, and that’s none other than the Buccaneers QB coach Clyde Christenson. Apart from coaching the players, the 66-year-old happens to be an avid golfer. However, his physique doesn’t justify his skills, and Brady took this as an opportunity to reveal the news.

According to Greg Auman of The Athletic, Tom Brady took a shot at Christenson and joked about his shape. The 44-year-old said that the Bucs QB coach Clyde Christensen was a surprisingly good golfer, “Great golfer. He doesn’t look very athletic, because he’s kind of round right now. He’s a little heavy. The centripetal force gets around his belly … he’s actually a pretty good golfer.” Auman wrote on Twitter, as said by Brady.

The American football coach spent a significant amount of time grooming the players to play at the highest level of the sport. Not just Tampa Bay, Christenson coached for teams like Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, and various other NFL franchises
Moreover, Christensen had spent a significant amount of time with the Broncos Legend Peyton Manning during his tenure with the Colts. As a result, he was able to achieve two Super Bowl rings in his career. A record that is still a pipe dream for many coaches in the NFL fraternity.
From 1996 to 1998, he served as a Tight End coach for the Buccaneers and became the offensive coordinator of the side in 2001. However, he switched sides to Colts after a brief stint in NFC North. After assuming power as the quarterbacks’ coach in 2019, Brady’s abrupt retirement decision proved to be a shocker to him.

Not just Christensen, former head coach Bruce Arians affirmed the same story about Brady making an abrupt decision. All their plans were foiled for a while; until the star decided to return. The management was trying to fill the void with every possible option this off-season, but nothing was as effective as Tom Brady to lead the offensive unit. However, the veteran’s return helped the coaches to take a sigh of relief.

Christensen emphasized that even though Brady stayed away from the game for 40 days, it took no time for him to get into his QB suit. “It felt like the morning after we had just lost to the Rams,” Christensen said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
“He had a list. He said, ‘Here’s how we can be better.’ I think he had been out of retirement 12 hours or so by then. The first thing he said was he didn’t want to go out that way. He wanted to make sure we do everything to win it all next year,” he added to his statements.
